About the data
This survey was conducted by thinqinsights on behalf of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) from October 6 to October 9, 2025. The device-agnostic online survey included 500 U.S. adults aged 21 and older, recruited through a national consumer research panel. The survey targeted current and prospective homeowners who were very involved in home design and renovation decisions. * The margin of error for the total sample is ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
* Specific respondent qualifying criteria comprised of purchased a home within the past two years or considering purchasing one within the next two years; or completed a major home renovation in the past two years or planning to renovate within the next two years.
Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) conducted a proprietary survey in October 2025, designed to uncover affiliated agent insights.
The questionnaire was completed by 343 affiliated BHGRE real estate professionals across the United States. Agent responses were analyzed in aggregate, offering a national snapshot of professional opinions from those on the front lines of home buying and selling.
